STAY IN TOUCH: As a Social Commerce Platform, we utilize the two most popular Social Media Platforms (Facebook and Twitter) ourselves. Like Us on Facebook and Follow Us on Twitter. You won’t miss exciting updates from us! If you utilize Firefox or Internet Explorer, you would also benefit from downloading (for free) the Ghigg Toolbar, which will keep you always updated on our latest.
ACTIVATION AND WHITE LISTING: There is one of two ways you would have registered with Ghigg; either via Facebook Connect or directly at Ghigg. If you connected via Facebook, there isn’t a need to activate your email. Your Facebook email will serve as the email for all Ghigg communication. It is very important that you white list Ghigg so our emails do not end up in your spam folder. If you registered directly at Ghigg, you must activate your email to gain access. Our systems will not permit login to accounts that do not have the emails verified. Please check your spam folder for our activation email in the event you do not see it in your Inbox. Be sure to white list us. If you do not find your activation email, you can request our systems to re-send the activation email (be sure to follow instructions therein).
WELCOME EMAIL: Soon after you sign up (i.e. connect via Facebook or register & activate via Ghigg), our systems will send you a welcome email. It is important that you look for this. As illustrated earlier, check your spam folder just in case our welcome email ends up there If you do not see our welcome email, our systems have not captured your email address (this happens if you already registered for an account with the same email tied to your facebook account, and you re-try connecting with Facebook or in other rare instances when Facebook Connect is utilized). In such cases, please contact us (you might need to log out of your facebook account) and let us know your email address providing us your name and date of joining (if your email is already tied to an account you created, we will need to delete that account to activate your Facebook-tied account).
LOGGING IN: If you connected to Ghigg via Facebook, be sure to be logged into your Facebook account and then click on the Facebook Connect visible on the Home page or on the Login page. Alternatively, if you registered directly with Ghigg, enter your username and password. If you need your password to be reset, you can request our systems to reset password. We recommend, in either cases, that you logout and then log back in to ensure your access is clear.
PROFILE SETUP: As a first step, you should set up your profile. Navigate to My Profile and you should see your Profile as a Ghigger (User), Buyer, Seller and as an Affiliate (if you are approved as Ghigg Affiliate). Navigate to My Settings and enter your Full Name as you want to display in your public profile (your public profile URL is in the format http://www.ghigg.com/user/<username>a link to which is provided on your profile page. Also, enter your PayPal email. Your PayPal Email is not visible on your public profile, this is for Ghigg’s use for your buy-sell transactions. Be sure to upload your User Photo. Our systems are optimized to use your picture in the size 126 px X 86 px. Additionally, if you registered directly with Ghigg (as against Facebook Connect), you have the option to change your password at any time. Finally, under Manage Email Settings, you will notice that we have auto-selected all available entries so you receive email notifications pertaining to all buy and sell transactions. We recommend you leave these as-is.
MESSAGING: Our communication with you will be via Email (and hence the need to ensure your email is activated and live in our systems). The Manage Email Settings describes the various instances that we will be contact with you via Email. When another User (Buyer or Seller) contacts you, we will notify you of such contact and provide you a link to the message, which will be available in the My Messages section you see when you log in. Any messages you send will also be available within My Messages. Outside of these, Ghigg may contact you periodically with suggestions, tips, offers etc., and such messages will be routed to your Email address on file directly.
Once you complete the above steps, you are ready to take action, either as a Seller, a Buyer or as an Affiliate. Be sure to be always informed of the Ghigg Terms of Service (TOS) often. Your participation in the Ghigg Social Commerce Hub, at any time, is subject to your compliance with the Ghigg TOS.
